1. Use common sense! Think before You post.
   
   
2. Watch your language. Our boards are open to people of
   all ages, to discuss a wide variety of topics so please use
   common courtesy and keep it clean.
   
   
3. Be compassionate to others. Please don't forget that you are talking
   to living feeling human beings on these boards! The Internet
   is somewhat dehumanizing, and you may be tempted to say
   things in "cyberspace" that you would never say to someone's face.
   Please remember that the absence of body language often
   results in misunderstandings. If you choose humor or
   sarcasm to stress a point, please make sure that your
   intentions are clear to all readers. To that end, this board
   provides several types of "smileys" to assist you in clearly
   indicating the tone of your post. We highly recommend their
   use. Other, more elaborate smileys are available for your use
   with the Emoticons located to the left of the message area.
   
   
4. Don't be afraid to post. While we understand that many
   members of the board might intimidate you to post because
   of their strong opinions, you also have opinions as well and should
   not be afraid to post because of another member/s. If you
   feel that another member is picking on you and/or
   insults your opinions, kindly ask them to stop. If they continue,
   please e-mail myself or any moderator on the board and it
   will be taken care of.
   
   
5. Make new posters feel welcome. Remember that "newbies"
   may be intimidated to post, and that they want to make friends
   too just like all of us but sometimes don't post because they
   are afraid they won't feel welcomed. If you've been around for
   a while, be sure to introduce yourself to the newbies, and help
   make them feel at home. Do not talk to them like they are lesser
   than you because you have more posts than they do or have
   been on the board longer. We all started as newbies on the board
   and know how that would feel if it would happen to us.
   
   
6. Feel free to lurk. You don't have to post messages to have fun
   on the board. Some people enjoy reading the posts without posting
   anything themselves, which is fine.
   
   
7. Keep disagreements civil. You certainly don't have to agree with
   everyone on the boards, but keep your disagreements on topic.
   You can argue a point without being nasty.
   
   
8. NO PERSONAL ATTACKS. There is no reason whatsoever for name
   calling and rudeness. I am not going tolerate being constantly e-mailed
   with complaints that one poster attacked another. Be mature and post
   responsible and if you disagree with someone say it in good taste without
   being personal.You can argue and disagree while still being
   respectful of others. Harassing, offensive, vulgar, abusive, hateful
   or bashing communications - including those aimed at sexual orientation,
   gender, race, religion, national origin, or disability will absolutely not
   be tolerated. If you must use name calling (I know a lot of you love to joke
   around with each other with is perfectly fine!!), make sure it's in a joking not
   insulting or threatening manner and aimed at a person that is comfortable
   with you to be able to take it!
   
   
9. Keep personal disagreements personal. If you disagree or dislike one
   person in particular, please take your comments to e-mail, where they
   belong. If you have a complaint about another board user, one of the
   moderators, or anyone else, email me at lbcom@latinabarbie.com
   Do not post accusations on the board, this is a private matter between
   you and the other party. We will investigate the situation promptly. Furthermore,
   Any posts meant to bait others into a personal disagreement
   unrelated to the board topic will be removed. Any arguments of a
   personal nature will also be removed on request. And please, whenever possible,
   help steer others away from personal arguments as well! We all can work
   on making this a fun place to post!
   
   

10. Respect the Admin. & Moderators! The moderators and myself have duties
    to fulfill on the board to make this board a fun place to post for everybody.
    Please do not take editing or deletion of your posts personal. If these
    rules are not followed, it doesn't matter who did it, consequences will
    occur.
    

11. To report a problem. You may e-mail myself at lbcom@latinabarbie.com or any
    of the board moderators to report rule infractions or posts that need to be
    removed. Be sure to include the message address or URL for the quickest response.
    
    

Final Notes:

If you don't like these rules, please don't post. Remember, posting here is a privilege and not a right. We (myself and moderators) reserve the right to restrict access to the Board without prior notification. Also remember that any discussion of these rules is to be held through the webmaster or forum moderator(s) via e-mail, and not on the board itself.

We do not like deleting posts, and it will take a lot to take these unpleasant actions. Think before You post.

At times, problems due to software glitches have arisen, resulting in deleted posts that have not broken any board rules, and sometimes, an outright ban of a poster. If this happens to You, please contact Admin., and we will do our best to rectify the situation.

Remember no bad language! Use symbols to express yourself.

Everything else is fair game!
